Thought hard about Manchester and decided not quite big enough... ding, dong, wrong!
3. Could be Lanark before the stands swapped sides... I am sure I have seen that photo somewhere!
I think it is difficult! Going left field and saying 1 is Windsor looks figure of 8? Probably rubbish...
Too late with two... Goodwood (don't think it is Lewes)...
Indeed and one does get some funny angles... cunning to produce a blurred photo, only one you have...
The Old 'Daintree' racecourse...
Again, a strange tilt for a course that is dead flat...
Oh...certainly make the supplement bigger!

W
They like a hill... never under Rules, was it?
I have had a paper map of that area for years as well as lots of copies, and never seen it, oh dear...
OK, that seems fine, two Allts!

I am sending you a list of volume two....
I do have course lists, actually, from vol 2 onwards... forgot!
I do not seem to have known where the new course of 1829 was. One presumes it was the lh one, but new course can mean anything.
I have never noticed it..
The first races were in 1801 at Allty-y-gog, the right-hand course (according to me, not sure of source). Racing in 1802, then none till 'new course' in 1829, finishing in 1835. One for the supplement!
Also no 1 Plumpton, which had an old stand from Northampton
Already in, but 4 is Manchester New Barns, on its last day I think...
I could compose one... it might just take a while. Worth doing though...
Blimey, that would take a while... suppose there are, don't know, 500 or so maps, maybe more, some of areas but mostly with tracks. I am doing a small supplement, especially cos came across cache of maps orig from Weatherbys just after 3 was published! Could send you my map files by we transfer...
Starkey Daggers just beat me to IOM, which was not under Rules (well, not JC), that course was on the Strang... in vol 4. Your picture of track better than mine tho, shows how sharp it was. No maps of IOM after 1st ed until modern, cos didn't want to pay, so none of this course...
It could easily be the Curragh, but I will say Newmarket...
