I imagine you have less then zero interest in Fortnite (as do I), but you absolutely, 100% have to watch the trailer they did for the Power Rangers collab

They used actual Tokusatsu style suits in live action with the same sort of effects and really, really slick coregraphy. It's incredible

I also wouldn't say Xiuhtecuhtli is the sun god: That's clearly Tonatiuh, though both Xiuhtecuhtli and Huitzilopochtli have some symbolic ties the sun.

The Concheros dance originated as authentic Chichimeca traditions, but in the early 20th century it adopted a lot of pop culture tropes at the time (so stuff like Jesus Helguera's art), these days many variations of it, and especially the Danza Azteca dances it spawned off, don't resemble...

I actually do posts on Prehispanic Guatemalan and Mexican history, and I've been desperately trying to wrap my head around color management and calibration to do color correction on photos and scanned print material.

I will say i'd love for you to also upload the art at a higher res elsewhere too since bluesky has a lower resolution limit then twitter!

I play Pokken competitively and my big brain idea has always been that it should have included Pokemon Stadium minigames not just to add replay value for casual players and in party contexts, but since said minigames deal with precise timing, spacing etc and could teach fighting game concepts

...I can't fully explain the nuances of this within Bluesky's character limit, but the short version is A: Within the context of Fair Use determination, AI being automated may not matter so precedence set vs it could apply to other art and B: Disney, Adobe, the MPAA, RIAA etc are astroturfing...

Fanart was already generally infringement and not Fair Use, yes, but I wouldn't dismiss the possibility that lawsuits against AI could narrow Fair Use in a way which still might make actual human made art that uses references, or web scraping for archival purposes etc, potentially more liable...

Also, I don't really care that it's not "what twitter/bluesky is for", ~300 character limit posts forces people to remove nuance and encourages inflammatory discourse, and it litterally gives me anxiety to try to have to work within it

I think you're also underestimating how long my posts can get, sometimes I make tweets over 15,000 characters long. Not that bluesky needs to support that, but...

Please offer some sort of option for an extended character limit, that not being a feature like it is on Twitter is THE main thing preventing me from using Bluesky as much as I use that

I do big posts on history/archeology and really benefit from extra text/characters to use in posts!

There's no reason you can't have an extraction game be playable offline via LAN, albeit with some limitations and caveats.
