Is it just me, or is this mask giving “Portland Art Teacher”?

With sculpted eyes like this, the performer looks through other openings to see. They must adjust the way they move to make it alive— so the mask seems to be looking through its own eyes.

Do you ever experience emotions distinctly, one at a time? Or do they blend in different ways at the same time?

Netanyahu & his cabinet of war criminals are planning for "voluntary" migration of Palestinians from Gaza.

Having starved them and bombed their homes, schools and hospitals, how can it be voluntary? This is ethnic cleansing. It's a war crime.

NO MORE US MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL.

I was initially dismayed to see the pockmarks in this casting, but then I decided to flip it (literally). I found this fun look and learned more about the material is capable of doing. There is so much pressure to be perfect in the world— and that can dampen our sense of wonder and possibility.

New mask, new processes. There are so many stages to making something l've never done before, cycling through (in no particular set order) inspiration, excitement, effort, doubt, frustration, surrender, rest. Whatever the result I feel like I've learned something at the end- for that I'm grateful.
