And I'm not sure about weird ass comments, I haven't heard of any at least, and I feel like I would have heard some direct quotes, or even just people saying "he said x" by now, lol

Do...do you not know how propaganda works? The solution from all of those grifters is "oh we're the only ones who can save you from the "socialist menace"" or whatever, and if they even mentioned that person, it'd be to call them a socialist, thats how that kind of thing works

Thats totally fair, you can hate him for whatever reason you want, I don't even particularly like him, but calling him transphobic when he's not just gives more ammo for right wing grifters to indoctrinate more people into their cult

So, 1 this was again, nearly a decade ago, but 2, the reason he gave is because he was scared of the left bringing socialism, which is wrong and dumb, but also a very common peice of propaganda the right uses, so I'm inclined to beleive him

like, say what you will about the guy, what he did was stupid and shitty, but calling him transphobic, or saying he hasn't grown since (remember, this happened nearly a decade ago) is, quite frankly, dishonest and really awful to do

on top of that, he's also worked directly with LGBTQ creators very frequently even before that was discovered, and has donated a fuck ton to charities like the trevor project

tbh, i am sick and tired of this take, because it's just frankly not true

he AT ONE POINT donated VERY LITTLE to conservative politicians, and when people found out, he took responsibility, apologized, handed the franchise off to steelwool, and explained the reason (which wasn't transphobia)

fun fact: he actually did take responsibility when this first came out, made a post on his site apologizing profusely, explaining why he did it (spoiler: it wasn't transphobia, though it was still dumb), and handed Fnaf over to steelwool
