The media machinery is so obsessed with explaining the mechanics of laws and legal proceedings, which ultimately matter very little. What matters a lot is interests. This is something Trump understands in such a base level way that he can actually ‘articulate’ it even in that media environment.

Something that I think is missing from a lot of the discourse around the modern internet is the simple fact that if a community cannot organise to pursue mutual interest, it is not a community, it’s a support group. Flashmobs, chart attacks were the dead cat bounce of spontaneous organisation.

Very proud of our society for creating a vast and efficient media machine that enables natural disasters to be flattened into bias confirming media events within hours of occurring. Truely impressive the speed with which we all pitch in to make it happen.

Zuck just wants to be Rupert Murdoch. So blowing with the political wind and becoming more conservative as your user base ages. I think Fox News distorts our image of what Murdoch was like back in the day. He just owned the right wing rags, but he had a ‘cool’ aura above them. Sound familiar?

My favorite sports podcasters have revealed that they actually have big substantial roles in teams within that sport. I’m now dealing with the cognitive dissonance of them losing credibility in my mind despite that fact actually giving them substantially more credibility.
