I will say, it is odd to me the way page count varies wildly based on device. On my laptop the whole thing is 32 pages, whereas in the pages app on my ipad it's 19 pages

The spells maintaining his human form for a century now gone, Cyril reverts to the form of a pooka and struggles with his identity, his mental state affecting his form. Taking out his preserved tanuki leaf, Sir Simon helps his lover to accept his fluid nature as only another shapeshifter can

Sir Simon suddenly shapeshifts into Cyril's human form, catching the pooka by surprise and knocking him off balance. In his surprise Cyril mirrors Sir Simon's transformation and briefly reclaims his human form. He then shapeshifts into his lover's tall and strong human form as he rocks forward to catch himself and Sir Simon, still in his arms and snickering. Cyril leans back into a thrust and Sir Simon shifts into his human form in response. The two fall over and Cyril has become Sir Simon's tanuki form while Sir Simon has become Cyril's pooka form, on top of Cyril and looking down lovingly 🪄✨

Sometime later the two have fallen asleep next to each other, Sir Simon back in tanuki form and Cyril in a mostly human form but with a donkey-like tail from his pooka form. Cyril wakes up and is surprised, wondering if he's become human again. He sees that he still has a tail and is satisfied with just being himself. He smiles down at his sleeping lover and removes the tanuki leaf from his head, and the knight becomes human again. Cyril caresses his face and softly says "My hero."
