This is my weight vest—it helps with proprioception (aka my brain learning where my body is in space without a GPS). Chronic illness is a full-time job… and therapy alone is HOURS a week. Rehab era = relentless. 💪🔥

🌿 Lake Worth friends — looking for a real way to show up for your community? 🌿

No big speeches, no weird vibes… just people helping people eat. 💛

Let’s be the kind of town that feeds each other. 💛

Chosen family night 🥹💛 Visited Dee + Ali (in from CA). They played video games with Nix while I sat nearby absorbing the laughter like it was a prescribed medication. No pressure, just love + joy. My nervous system said “thank you.” 🎮✨ #NeverFingSettle

Lazy Sunday = Mama Carol in her recliner throne, pets rotating cuddle shifts like tiny emotional support employees, and the whole house running on naps + snacks + zero unnecessary standing. 🛋️🐾💛
Nothing big… just peaceful.

Reminder: You are not required to burn yourself out to keep other people comfortable.
Boundaries aren’t mean—they’re protection.
You’re allowed to choose peace. 🔥🧯

Things I learned today:
• Squirrels start chaos and then clock out
• Cats do not believe in physics
• I apparently live with a lemur
• My blood pressure would like a word

She came down safely.
The squirrel escaped.
I aged three years. 😅

Florida gardening is basically a contact sport.

Proof that you don’t need a yard to garden… just a windowsill, some color, and the willingness to vacuum soil later.

Sensitivity isn’t a flaw, it’s information. If someone keeps telling you you’re “too sensitive,” what they may really be reacting to is boundaries or accountability. Your nervous system is giving data. Trust it. 💛 #NeverFingSettle

Grateful for friendships that show up big. 💚
Brittney took me to the doctor, made sure I ate, and filled the day with laughter. To return the favor, I dyed her hair green. Fair trade, obviously. So thankful for this quality time before she headed back to Gainesville. #NeverFingSettle

These are the days—quiet, connected, and weirdly perfect. Parenting an almost-adult, still-my-baby human is a wild joy. 💛

Accidental activist. Accidental educator. Non-accidental trauma therapist.

Not because of rage, but because silence helps no one—especially in a therapy room. So yes, I’ll name the pattern, challenge the belief, and hold the boundary. That’s not extra. That’s the work.

Infusion day ✔️
Dee = absolute gem ✔️
Breakfast afterward ✔️✔️

Did the IV thing, Dee showed up like the hero she is, hung out, made it fun, and then we got breakfast because healing pairs best with food + friendship. Grateful. 💛🥞

Entering the new year like this raccoon:
emotionally unbothered, caffeinated, celebrating survival, standing near a fire I did not start—but definitely learned from.

2026, I’ve got boundaries, coffee, and zero explanations. ☕🔥✨

My oldest, Roree, noticed my mother-in-law needed her nails trimmed and just… did it. No one asked. No announcement. Just quiet care, gentle hands, and showing up.

This is what real compassion looks like. Raising good humans will always be my favorite flex. 🥹💅

Small local green market, big joy. 🌱
Plants admired, laughs shared, zero rush. Followed by lunch with friends—because wandering + friendship deserves snacks.

Grateful for simple days that feel like everything. 💛

Green flags are when your parts stop bracing.
The anxious part relaxes.
The protector clocks out.
You don’t rehearse sentences in your head.

If you feel calmer and more yourself after seeing them, your nervous system already voted yes. 🌿

Green flags aren’t loud—they’re regulating.

Christmas, but Lunch Edition 🎄🥩
Ro worked, so we did Christmas at lunch like the adaptable legends we are. Great food, zero nonsense. Gifts, Miracle on 34th Street + It’s a Wonderful Life, perfect vibe. No BS. No drama.

Christmas prep, stroke edition: labeled dishes, written recipes, strategic pacing, zero chaos (ok… less chaos). The house was cozy, the vibes were good, and Heather’s egg bites were a HUGE Christmas morning hit. Adaptation + teamwork = holiday win. 💛

Beautiful weather, all of us piled around an outdoor table, iced tea doing its thing, and one extremely confident chicken wandering by like it had a reservation.

The kind of day that reminds you how good simple can be. 🐓

Therapy truth: if you’re waiting to be perfectly palatable before living your life, you’ll be waiting forever. There is no performance of “good enough” that stops criticism. Might as well be authentic and free.

Christmas Eve Recap:
Daughters carefully placing ornaments like museum curators.
My partner discovering sentimental stocking surprises and reacting accordingly.
My mother-in-law bringing the calm, the charm, and the “this is how it’s always been done” energy.

Went red today to gently escort my hair out of its “discount Eminem” era and into something a little less… Slim Shady adjacent. 😂

I didn’t hate the in-between look, but sometimes a girl just wants her hair to stop whispering rap battle and start saying intentionally styled human.

A few weeks ago, Nix (17) and I hit an antiques show. Expected charm. Got SO much ivory and way too many racist dolls 😬

But! I found incredible books, serotonin returned, and we agreed: old ≠ worthy.
