A 🧵on perseverance. 1/7 Today’s gospel, the parable of the unjust judge, speaks so powerfully to our current situation that it could have been just written. Jesus tells his disciples about a judge refusing to give justice to a widow. However often the widow is ignored or turned away she comes back.
This sounds amazing! All the best with it!
Looking forward to running a Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing group starting at the end of the month.

Father God,
we Your people come aware of our faults and failings.
Sometimes we judge by outward appearances, neglecting to consider the human being, head and heart, contained within.
Forgive us Father.

Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

It is encouraging to see an upsurge in commitment to prayer in many churches and christian communities in this country and elsewhere.
I strongly believe that this is vital at this time of upheaval and uncertainty, and can make a real difference in our own lives, our communities, and the wider world.

We pray for strength and hope across the world for all our fellow Christians who are persecuted for their faith.
May the Risen Christ and the hope of Resurrection glory never fail in their hearts despite the chains that seem to bind them.

Day 9 of #31DaysofGraves - and the prompt is ‘hand’! Here’s a little prototype emoji from the 1600s - a hand pointing towards a Bible. This stone commemorates Kirk Minister Thomas Baikie, who died aged 42.

Please lift up in prayer all who face rejection and hostility as they seek refuge and safety.
May hearts be softened, and fear replaced with understanding — especially toward those we’ve not yet taken the time to know.

Heavenly Father,
we thank You for the blessings we enjoy, but acknowledge all around those less fortunate than ourselves.
We pray for all who bring physical healing
- doctors, nurses, carers and all health workers.
Strengthen and encourage them all.
