Well technically some JP pubs like SQEX or Kodansha do retain the rights to sell their digital releases if they so choose

And in many cases, digital rights are not even exclusive. Which is how some eBooks are on some emango platforms & then a different version is released digitally by the print pub

oh wow! I predicted CR EU would do that when the buyout happened.

My theory was CR isnt a mango company so they’d either dump mango or sell it off. And what might really suck is how that team from Kaze (whatever’s left of it) may have to worry about what Harper will do to them if they get sold
