One of my personal favorite details is literally all of them because holy shit this is the best art I've ever seen on something designed to go on my butt
Seriously I really hate that you can't bold or italicize or underline or strikethrough or any of that on basically any social platform but fuckbarf. And honestly it's been so long since I used that platform that I'm not even sure you can do that anymore. CAPS being the only option for emphasis SUCKS
There's also nothing pressing for you to do, because you are simply the town pet. Why would they give you any responsibilities? You're there to help them cope with theirs.
The "what if you regret it later" argument is so fucking stupid. If that's the logic, make tattoos illegal, because "you'll regret it later" is the most common thing people say about tattoos, too.
It's their fucking body, and they will be their own regrets to deal with if they have them.
Playing a character who is a master of deception but is easily deceived has been a blast and the source of some of the most fun and interesting RP scenes we've had.
The only instance I will recommend rolling is if you want to be OP from the start, but you could just up the point buy limits instead
For example, my warlock in 5e has high Cha and Dex, but low Str and Wis. This works for his character because he's an overconfident con man who thinks he's too smart to be fooled the way he fools other people, and he's mostly got other people to do the heavy lifting for him.
After having played quite a lot of roll-for-stat characters in the past and entirely point buy since I started playing 5e, I will 100% agree that point buy is better, because it forces you to consider dump stats. This not only balances combat but also creates interesting RP opportunities.
