Although I have been making occasional commissions for years, I decided it was time to make it “official” with a fixed price guideline, open to anyone who wants to hire me.

#WorldCrocodileDay
Here is a little preview of something that, I hope, will end up contributing to the conservation of my favorite species, the orinoco crocodile.
looking forward to sharing more about this soon ;)

The estimate of 100 specimens (reproductive adults) may be too low (probably in Colombia, but in Venezuela the species is close to 300 adult specimens in the wild). Anyway, there is still a lot of work to be done and your illustration helps to bring attention to the species, which is much needed 🔥

Something for the #worldcrocodileday 🐊💚🐊

The orinoco crocodile is one of my favorite species but also extremelly endangered, its estimated that less than 100 individuals remain in the wild. It hurts my soul to its core seeing these species on the brink of extinction...

No crocodiles were injured during the process of this sculpture😂

The image above is just a preview render, but to give you some expectation of how the physical print will look, here's the prints I sold at last year's TetZooCon. Both the Tyrannosaurus and Diplodocus will be available in 1/40 scale.

- Endangered Species Day -
As I do every year, Ive tried to make a small contribution to this day: My favorite animal in the world, the critically endangered Caimán llanero (C. intermedius), a species to which I am determined to dedicate my life to conserve.

If you are really such a bad person as to believe that I am blatantly recycling illustrations, let me tell you that you are absolutely right.

Pretty cool paper. Basically, "Gharialis" curvirostris was named some 150 years ago by Richard Lydekker based on fossil material from the Bugti Hills of Pakistan and has very much been stuck in this state since then.
A reconstruction of the skull of Pseudogavialis curvirostris. It had rounded eyes and a long and narrow snout with numerous similarily sized teeth that would have interlocked when the jaws were closed. Fossil material of Pseudogavialis. The holotype skull consists of the very tip of the snout including the nostril and a section further back preserving the eyesockets. The image also includes a referred lower jaw that was originally described as a variant of the species.

Interesting reconstruction decisions; what references of other sebecosuchians have you taken (Besides the holotype of B.arveloi)?

Probably the last large Sebecidae to inhabit this world before the extinction of the family during late Miocene (Or even during early Pliocene if we take into consideration possible relict island populations in the Antilles).

Here's an update on my Deinosuchus skeletal. Nearly all the bones are done, just gotta finish the skull detailing and the osteoderms. Also the back leg. But theoretically in the home stretch. #paleontology #Deinosuchus #paleoart
WIP skeletal diagram of Deinosuchus hatcheri with out any soft tissue. Scale bar is 1 meter long.

Of course, I love this kind of orders (no need to pay extra😂). If you are interested you can write me by private chat or by mail, whatever you prefer.

Voay robustus! a recently extinct species of crocodile from Madagascar, most of its remains were found in a "sub-fossil" state, where not enough time has passed for them to fossilize

suggested by @convictclaude.bsky.social! who surely apreciates me calling it a 𝙃𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙮 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙡𝙚
