I love the line “these closures left … entire collections of digital assets … practically useless.” So the value of the decentralized digital assets was predicated entirely on the support of a centralized developer? Wasn’t that the entire thing this technology was supposed to prevent?
i love the implication that crypto gaming was fundamentally sound and only died because VCs failed to manifest it

Not really the most noteworthy thing that happened this week, but I finally blasted away my windows partition and upgraded to full 4Tb all linux

Telling people that they need to socialize for their health on hacker news and getting quite a bit of pushback

For the longest time I've had two partitions on my computer, a 500gb Windows and 500gb Linux. I'm thinking of just blowing away the windows partition and upgrading to 8tb all Linux. I don't really need Windows for anything these days and the desktop is pretty degraded

Hmm I'd like Lean 4 a bit more if the syntax was easier to understand - I know! I'll make it a LISP!

Becoming Lean4 pilled. This shit is soooo dope

Bringing a girlfriend home will make your family compliment you in ways they have literally never mentioned before in your entire life

yes, I contributed approximately $0.0001 to Jake Paul's net worth by watching a youtube video of him get punched in the face. I admit it. I'm not proud of it, but it was worth it

What’s the state of the art for rendering in GTK applications? a while ago I tried using dmabuf and couldn’t get it working. I’m asking because it might finally be time to start working on my dream text editor

No judgement from me here. I’m just glad everyone is having a good time and is staying safe out there
sheesh, the only thing worse than getting kicked out of the polycule is finding out via jira ticket 😣

There's nothing more satisfying than filling out all the doc comments you need and ending up with a super full and detailed rustdoc

Going through the long and arduous process of finishing and documenting (the language, the standard library API, and embedding API) for scheme-rs. Gonna take a while but it will be soooo satisfying when I'm done.
December 14, 2025 at 4:52 PM
oooh yeah, that's the stuff
December 7, 2025 at 6:11 PM
I have a feeling this next change is going to have some massive performance improvements... I'm pretty excited about it!
December 7, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Really not sure why I built in interior mutability to my Gc smart pointer. Oh well, time for that to go. Should make stuff a lot faster

My text editor will be shocking and revolutionary by being a gui app and not terminal based

Implement rnrs hashtables by maplant · Pull Request #194 · maplant/scheme-rs
This PR brings in the (rnrs hashtables (6)) library into base, along with a clean up of hashing and equivalence operations for Value, of which the PartialEq implementation is now Eqv, which support...

I do not understand the point of asking CEOs of sports betting companies if they think what they do is moral. They either do or don’t care and it’s not particularly meaningful which answer they give (it will always be the first)
