I asked not to use AI and said that it is not a panacea, but I was told, "Well, let's do as they suggested." The fact is that the people I work with always know exactly what they want, and I will do as the client likes because I am an executor, but sometimes, this position works against me 🥲

I didn't even mention the most important thing. With all these edits that weren't even mentioned in the beginning, the price of one playing card is $40. I feel so stupid. 💩

To which the person I was working with simply waved it off, saying, "No, no, I don't like any of the artists' drawings yet." Literally, "Do it until I like it, but I don't know how I'll like it."

I wrote to the person that my style probably just wasn't right for them and they shouldn't bother me if I needed so many edits for one drawing.

That was the final straw. Between edits, I was working on another playing card, which also had a lot of pixel-shifting edits, but this particular piece was the deciding factor.

To which the person supervising me simply laughed, waved it off and said, “Well, let’s change it again.”

I said we literally went back to the ideas I proposed at the very beginning. And after dozens of edits and running my drawing through that damn AI, we simply returned to the idea of my drawing in a number of the elements that we changed.

And then I couldn't take it anymore. I'm a really patient person, and I'm very concerned about the outcome, but when my drawings are being dragged through the mud and constantly written about (sorry, it's pretty hard even for me)

And a few days later, he wrote to me, "Let's fix it. I ran the drawing through the AI again, and it suggested a pink curl and hid my breasts (even though the AI initially made a version of my drawing with protruding areolas, and it liked it)."

In the end, I redid everything the way he wanted. Okay, we seemed to have an agreement. I submitted the artwork.

I changed and recolored parts of the girl's body because the person didn't know what he wanted and blamed me, saying, "You're an artist, understand what a man wants to see." Oh my God.

Initially, the requirements stated that the background should be pale and not distract from the character. Look what we got in the end. A bright background.

And I started correcting the drawing again, trying to figure out what the person wanted. The problem was, he didn't even know what he wanted. And do you know what happened? He ran my drawing through the AI and said, "Recolor it and do it the way the AI did." Imagine my face at that moment.
