🇪🇸 That's a wrap for our 2025 General Assembly!

🔎 We've heard lots of ideas and contributions from all the consortium - and the discussions will continue in the final year of the project.

Thank you @lifewatcheric.bsky.social for hosting us this year, Seville was wonderful 💃

🇪🇸Day 2 of MARBEFES General Assembly is behind us!

🔎Looking into going beyond the project case studies and tools - through outscaling, upscaling, stakeholder engagement, and publications.

🔑Also, a lot of discussions around lessons learned from the project so far.

⚡The situation in the Baltic is far from idyllic. The Gulf of Gdańsk is currently under many pressures: pollution (plastic, nutrients and various chemicals), intense shipping and large scale tourism, urbanisation, coastal erosion. Ongoing climate change is also taking its toll on the area.

🔵 Presenting the last of 12 MARBEFES case studies: #GulfofGdańsk BBT.

🔵 Gulf of Gdańsk is a a coastal inlet of the #BalticSea located in northern Poland🇵🇱

🔵 Its shallow waters serve as an important habitat for various species of fish, birds, and marine mammals (including the iconic grey seal🦭😉)
