Cooking together was never supposed to be this chaotic. Jayce had only wanted to try out a new recipe, and Viktor had agreed to keep him company.

But the moment flour started flying, any hope of a calm evening disappeared. Jayce laughed so hard he could barely stand, and soon enough, Viktor ended up laughing too. And in that moment, covered in flour and smiling until his cheeks hurt, Jayce decided the cookies didn’t matter at all. What mattered was that sound he wanted to keep hearing forever.
