We have to keep asking why de-mining organisations and donors refuse to do de-mining work in Myanmar. De-mining is possible. Local administrations and people want it.

Burmese military airstrikes in Thandwe, Rakhine, on New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2025. The Burmese military have been escalating airstrikes and military offensives across the country. Governments must impose more targeted sanctions, cut the supply of arms, revenue, equipment and aviation fuel.

Missed this when it was published recently. Under the Burmese military Burma/Myanmar now tops the rankings of countries where there is a risk of money laundering and financial crimes.

Burmese military air attacks in Ma Mu village, Mutraw, killed a 4 year old boy and injured 12 villagers. All 12 houses in that small village were destroyed, 12 Dec 2025. The Burmese military have been escalating airstrikes and military offensives across the country ahead of their sham elections.
