For some time now, when I open an article on the NYT website as a subscriber I get ads to add people to my subscription or 6 months for full access neither of which I want. No way to turn off. It blocks the bottom of my screen & is so annoying I am canceling my subscription.

Years ago an airline would make all efforts to rebook you onto another carrier. That practice (endorsing your ticket over) has gone the way of the dodo.
