20 years ago, in college, I discovered and read every word he had published up to that point. No writer or artist affected the course of my life like Edmund White.

Orville Peck and Eva Noblezada are sensational and not to be missed in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. The two of them are simply unreal.

It should be illegal to close a hospital. It should take an act of Congress or something.

Orville Peck was absolutely sensational in his Broadway debut tonight. His Emcee in 'Cabaret' is wild, insane, and deeply, deeply unsettling. I cried a lot, not just bc of OP, but because it all feels so close to what's happening in the US now. As for OP... a bat outta hell.

Betty Gilpin in Oh, Mary! was a revelation. My god. What a freight train of insanity. Just beautiful.

For sure. The last American made manual typewriters to maintain their quality beyond the late 60s. (And into the 80s no less!) Besides the Selectric and the Wheelwriter, this was pretty much the end of the line for good American typewriters.

1973 Smith-Corona Sterling, by god. Pristine. Full of vim, verve, and vigor. Galaxy Class, for heaven's sake.
