In 2021, as Chief Legal Counsel, I urged Gov. Whitmer to block state/fed funds for conversion therapy—and I drafted the executive order that made it happen. Two years later, Michigan banned the practice by law. Now SCOTUS could erase those protections.

Today the Detroit News reported that former Speaker Rick Johnson was released early from federal prison after serving less than half his sentence for public corruption (www.detroitnews.com/story/news/l... ). I prosecuted this case as U.S. Attorney (2022-2025). Here's my statement.
