Now I've heard there was a secret chord that Lorde played, and it pleased David.

Today, the library had a book on the shelf for me that I hadn’t ordered (The Second Wife by Rebecca Fleet). Someone had mistakenly put a note on it with my name on it and when I checked the note it was for Shadow Ticket by Thomas Pynchon.
Ordered a book, but when I went to collect it today the shop couldn’t find it, which didn’t surprise me as the book is by Thomas Pynchon.

If The Beatles would have been around today, they could have avoided any creative differences by releasing four versions of each song i.e Maxwell’s Silver Hammer (John’s version).

One thing about Twitter, it is still good at focusing on your interests, no matter how mundane. If Bluesky could do this (i.e less F1 Vegas, AEW Full Gear, USC Football etc) then that would be great. I accept it is still probably a work in progress.

Franz Kafka through the years apparently. (Not too sure what’s going on here, very Kafkaesque.)

Staying optimistic about this by keeping in mind that most people will reject AI fiction since AI can’t write fiction because, to quote DFW, fiction is about “what it is to be a fucking human being”. AI can’t do that as it is not a human being.
More than half (51%) of published novelists in the UK believe AI is likely to end up replacing their work, says a new survey of 258 authors from the University of Cambridge 👇 #BookSky

Hilarious how phones looked in the old days. Glad they made the screens bigger.

While I’ve got nothing against this ‘word of the year’ as such, I don’t think we are any more parasocial than any other year (this century).
