We have power! ⚡️I am so proud of my family for making it three days without power. We abandoned our house at the 72 hour mark only because a better life was 25 minutes away. If a quick escape weren’t an option, we could have kept going. Arnold family prepping FTW!

We have power! ⚡️I am so proud of my family for making it three days without power. We abandoned our house at the 72 hour mark only because a better life was 25 minutes away. If a quick escape weren’t an option, we could have kept going. Arnold family prepping FTW!
Fun fact: If a laptop has sat at around 40 degrees F for several days, it’ll be a few hours before you can charge it or turn it on.

Fun fact: If a laptop has sat at around 40 degrees F for several days, it’ll be a few hours before you can charge it or turn it on.
I read Psalms 44 to 46 this morning in my 46 degree living room by our kerosene heater. It was humbling and led me to worship. God is holy and has and will see us through. It is not my job to understand, but to trust fully in His loving care.

Authenticity of Pronunciation: I always struggle with this when coming across words in languages I speak. It feels odd to say “Berlin” as an American instead of German. But, to say it “correctly” sounds pretentious and breaks the flow of an English sentence.

Turns out, 96oz per day is the magic number for how much water I need. I drank a lot of water, but not enough. Now that I’m fully hydrated, I feel great!

I doubt it goes anywhere or does a thing, but I wrote my congressman asking him to push back against this administration’s foreign policy towards Greenland and Europe. Whatever the perceived need, you can’t just go annexing or asking to buy parts of sovereign nations, especially an ally!

I doubt it goes anywhere or does a thing, but I wrote my congressman asking him to push back against this administration’s foreign policy towards Greenland and Europe. Whatever the perceived need, you can’t just go annexing or asking to buy parts of sovereign nations, especially an ally!

Legoland hotel shows what it would look like if places tried to actually accommodate families. Built-in kids potty seat, stool in bathroom, trundle bed and a bunk, separated kids area. All hotels should have rooms like this for families.

I’m also realizing my Anglicanism is as much fidelity to my heritage and people as it is theological. There are many people, even priests, in the Roman church who hold the same theology as me. If I were German, I could see myself being Roman. But, I can’t turn my back on my people.
