2/2 Eg. I'm a retired low level public servant with affordable health insurance on top of universal healthcare and have recently had a full hip replacement.
It cost me a few hundred $ out of pocket.
Everyone deserves this level of affordable healthcare.
America is being lied to.

1/2 Not only does the Australian Government negotiate the prices down but it then heavily subsidises on top of that (Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme) making the cost of most medications less than the cost of an average hour's wage.
We believe healthcare is a human right not a privilege for the wealthy

I run through that scenario and can only see two possible outcomes.
The State quickly backs off or it quickly spirals to a very dark place. The first option most likely.
Eg The California mask law which has been ignored.
Either way the regime gets what they want
