Today we set a world record for SMB2JCE Both Characters (Any% D-4), with Luigi -> Mario! We got some weird koopas in 5-1 which lost around 3 seconds, but we made up for it by challenging both Bowser's in 8-4. World D luck was also pretty decent.

Today we set a world record for SMB2JCE Both Characters (Any% D-4), with Luigi -> Mario! We got some weird koopas in 5-1 which lost around 3 seconds, but we made up for it by challenging both Bowser's in 8-4. World D luck was also pretty decent.

Tonight we made a new improvement to the SMB2JCE Warpful (Mario, SNES) world record. 26:45.972 is the official time. The one big mistake was missing superjump in 5-1 #2, but we made up for the majority of that timeloss in w8, where I played very risky strats which payed off!

Today we broke the 26:5x barrier in Warpful (Mario, SNES) with 26:48.967. This run hit almost all the really challenging tricks but also had a bunch of small timelosses littered throughout. I'd like to try and get mid-26:4x before putting this category to rest.

New pity PB for Warpful (Mario, SNES). Would've been 26:43 but I got hit in 6-2 and had to regrab in 6-3. Had a run after this which was low 26:4x-potential over 20 minutes in. Feeling hopeful 🙂

Today we played a unique game called "BS Super Mario USA". It is an official game for the SFC add-on, the "Satellaview". It is the All-Stars version of SMB2, but only came in four "Episodes", each containing only 3 levels. I'd like to speedrun this game more in the future!

Today we did the first 3 runs for 1 Warp Luigi on All-Stars. 3 new PBs in a 7-run span, a PB rate of nearly 50%. The best time was 14:45.592! Like the Mario run, this one was nearly flawless except for one thing towards the end. But I'm happy with this.
