A solitary cowboy character on horseback has been riding through a starlit night when he happens to glance over his shoulder. Behind him, in the sky, floats a deer-fish chimera creature in the constellation of Capricornus. The stars twinkle and glow along its body, marking the points of the constellation, as it watches the ranger with an empty deer skull for a face. The tip of its tail overlaps on top the mountains in the far background, indicating that the starry creature may be closer than we think.

I don’t have much of an art summary for the whole year, so instead I will post the five works I did for this year’s @yeehawgust.bsky.social
