It is with a broken heart that I share we lost our daughter & baby sister, Lincoln Iris Matishak, on May 30 at thirty weeks & delivered her shortly thereafter.

She died from congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV), a common but overlooked virus.

She will be loved always & forever.

It’s unclear who the administration will now choose for the job. One name is Reid Novotny, who served as director of intelligence & cyber effects operations for the National Guard & is the senior military policy adviser at the Office of the National Cyber Director.

The decision to pass over Hartman further scrambles what has already been a prolonged leadership shakeup atop CYBERCOM &NSA.

Meanwhile, Joe Francescon, who was picked to serve as the new deputy director of the NSA, has yet to officially begin work.

Hartman, who has been leading both entities in an acting capacity since April, was recently informed of the decision and submitted his retirement paperwork this week.

The choice was made, in part, after Hartman failed to impress key DOD leaders.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

My heart goes out to every parent who has experienced the unimaginable pain of losing a child — whether through miscarriage, stillbirth or an unforeseen complication.

Your grief matters. Your babies are not forgotten.

“It’s really not that controversial,” -House Intel Chair Crawford

Given that the short reauthorization window was the *only* concession Speaker Johnson gave privacy hawks after railroading them on the process and their desired votes, yes, it would be quite controversial

My wife & I had never heard of CMV before it took our daughter, Lincoln Iris, earlier this year.

CMV is the No. 1 cause of birth defects in the U.S.

It can cause deafness, seizures and other serious birth defects and health conditions in babies.

There is no vaccine.
