this is truly the crux of the entire issue and why i, personally, go so hard on this shit. i like marty, and consider him a friend but also i wouldn’t give a shit about his ban if it felt at least internally consistent with other moderation decisions. as it stands, the mod team is just a joke
the specifics of marty's saga aside i want to compare that to how there are multiple explicit trans hate accounts active on the sight right at this moment, a lot of people have reported them, and they remain extant.
