I don’t have access to the article so I don’t know what it said, but I believe studies have shown that paper towels are more sanitary because, if the hands are not properly washed, it is likely that the high velocity air will create a germ laden aerosol that will disperse around the room.

I used to live in Minnesota and thought we would retire there, possibly in Grand Marais. But we fell in love with Hawaii and decided to live on the Big Island. It is a far wilder place with giant centipedes, active volcanoes, sharks, white pineapples, and over 200 varieties of avocados.

I am pretty certain the Butter and guava jelly are meant to be served with the cornbread sticks, not the salad. I like the salad idea. I used to make blue corn sticks with garlic and they were fantastic with butter. Sadly, I no longer have the necessary molds.

I hope you are correct but I fear Hegseth will go forward if he can convince enough admirals to go along with his plan. We are not living in anything like normal times. Further, I looked up the conviction rate for courts martial and it is high, suggesting a trial indicates conviction is possible.

I don’t think courts martial are handled in normal courts. They are held in military ones. If this case ever goes to trial, I believe, from what little I know, conviction is way more likely than not.

I have dramatically reduced my flying in recent years after I saw a near fight break out in first class between two fat old white guys dressed like slobs. One guy was sitting in his assigned seat and the other guy was demanding he give it up. My inner introvert decided I shouldn’t by flying.

I think our global reputation is not simply disappearing, it is already gone and will stay that way for more than a generation. Decades will be required to rebuild it. The world is moving on toward a post US economy. We will be left to stew in our autocratic soup. What did us in? Our stupidity.
