Most of my (west of Hanover) German ancestry has disappeared (again)... and it was kind of low the last time around. Everything tends to get lumped into whatever their "northwest Europe" category is.

All the German ancestors I know about are from west of say Hanover, which must be particularly tricky to sort out from dna.

hmm, apparently all the ancestors whose origins I don't know where from southeast England or the other side of the channel...

...and so were most of the ancestors I found in German church records 🙃 #genealogy #ancestry
