Yes! I get overstimulated by my dog all the time. Of course I love him, but it’s certainly a challenge for me. I don’t even like him licking my hands, let alone my face. I feel bad about how easily frustrated by him I am, but ultimately I know he’s a happy pup. 🐶

I’ll add that due to neurodivergence, it takes me a VERY long time to process any kind of trauma, to the point where I didn’t think I had any trauma until I made myself dig through it this past year.
