Seen in Eaglerock. Anyone know anything about these?

The only thing I ever bought from a comic book ad—besides Sea Monkeys—was this: a Lincoln-Kennedy Penny. This is how we entertained ourselves with conspiracy theories before social media took over. Just thought it might give you a laugh. Enjoy!

The Japanese Village and Deer Park was a Japanese-themed amusement park in Buena Park, California that operated from 1967 to 1975. It featured traditional Japanese buildings, shows, and a deer park inspired by Nara Park in Japan. The Asner family enjoying the park.

I can’t believe it has been six years since you left us. I think of you every day. I miss you mom.

This is heartbreaking. Clem Burke was one of those rare drummers who stood out not just for his incredible talent, but for his vibrant personality as well. His influence on music will resonate forever. Rest in peace, Clem Burke.

Adolescence on Netflix is simply amazing. Raw,Real, Brave, heartbreaking television. My highest recommendation. Must watch.

Villaraigosa looked at my father and declared“Of course not!” Never a dull moment with my father.
March 2, 2025 at 6:31 PM
As we were leaving to go to a party we saw Antonio Villaraigosa entering the Governors Ball. My dad yelled out to him in his gruff voice. “Antonio! How the Hell are you. “ that was met with a “Hi, Ed.” To which my father said. “You look great. Have you had some work done?”

15 years ago my father and I went to the Oscars and had a hell of a time. UP! Won best animated film and score and was nominated for Best Picture. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. My dad loved getting a rise out of people.

If you look at the body language. It’s definitely the other way around. Vance and Trump are playing to the cameras. Zelenskyy is besieged

Time will tell whether or not they were successful. If they are successful you will see concessions from Zelenskyy and Russia taking some land. Hard to watch. To see a man/leader that has given his country everything through a long war that he didn’t start be put to the screws.

It was a total set up. An ugly scene. They planned to ambush him to get him out of power. He rightfully won’t go forward without security guarantees and these two bullies went after him to either shame him out of office or publicly accept a deal that he can’t stomach

If you have never had the treat of watching Gene Hackman act, do yourself a favor and use this tragic news to look at his largely brilliant work as an actor. From The Conversation and Bonnie and Clyde to The French Connection and Unforgiven. He was a master.

Just heard Rick Buckler, The drummer of The Jam, passed away. they were one of my favorite bands as a teen. They were also the loudest band I have ever seen in concert. When I saw them at Santa Monica Civic in 1980 the sound system lost power for about 3 seconds. What a shock. RIP

Here’s 18-year-old me, alongside Nick Geber, Randy Ralston, and Steve Weisburd, doing our best to channel that inspiration. We were just kids—half the band was still in high school.

Though their career was brief, their influence has been immeasurable, inspiring countless bands, including The Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen, U2, Interpol, The Editors, and many more. Insect Idol proudly counted Joy Division among our biggest influences.

To me, Joy Division reshaped the landscape of punk, proving it could be something bigger, darker, and more profound.
February 12, 2025 at 5:18 PM
When I was 17, I first heard Joy Division. At the time, my band, Insect Idol, was a punk band, and my friend and guitarist, Nick, played me a tape that instantly became essential listening—something that could never be turned off.
