Is there an app that unifies my [other place] and Bsky feeds?

My Christmas gift was a tad late. Now, time to let my hair grow and finally have the metal teenager moment I missed 😂

I'd like to PR a way to define "internal" attributes on Eloquent models that cannot be accessed from outside in favor of richer attributes, e.g returning a "Money" object and blocking amount/currency from being accessed.
Any suggestions for a better API?

No doubt that LLMs are a net positive when it comes to productivity, but I think a key element coding tools (e.g “build me this”) miss is the iterative, discovering process.
As you build something, you go “oh, maybe this API would be better this way”, or “that component should be split in two”.

the new iOS photos app is disgustingly horrible
I swear that alone would make me consider switching to Android if I didn’t have other apple devices

hopefully they undo it, or allow us to go back to the old one at some point

Writing code that works is the bare minimum. The job is not just about that, but writing code that *is easy to change*.
It's a bit frustrating whenever architecture content is deemed as "overengineering"; apps don't have to and shouldn't grow into unmaintainable balls of mud.

whenever a new ai model is released or announced social media becomes a bit anxiety inducing for me. bluesky doesn’t!

This might be a bit of an uncommon take nowadays, but I think using LLMs to learn something from scratch is a bad idea.
They’re absolutely fantastic to ask questions to and go deeper in a subject, but compressing pages of documentation into a few responses must warrant some information loss.

A good exercise when building your models is to think “how would this be modeled if there was *no* database?”
Of course, IRL, it exists and you’re bound to it and will have to make some concessions.
Still, I feel it’s very valuable.

my muscle memory still makes me open the other app and tweet there by mistake

My tip to eat clean when dieting is… to just eat clean
I feel a massive urge to eat crap (oreos, sushi, burgers, whatever) for 3-4 days, and then it stops and I feel absolutely no special desire to eat anything like that.

For my gym friends, I’m curious: in which situations (if any) do you *refuse* to take turns with someone in an exercise?

I think a major reason I’ve been enjoying this place more than the <<other place>> is there is barely any content about AI.
Opening the other app is suffocating. Every 3 tweets there’s a “AGI has been achieved”, “AI just nuked this profession” or something like that 😅

Since this sort of blew up on <<the other place>>, I recorded a video on it, but I still don’t think it’s the best medium.
Would anyone be interested in going over this topic on a podcast? Preferably someone who disagrees with me but has an open mind to the idea :-)
Big MVC wants us to think the left structure is simpler than the right structure. It's a psyop guys

People are using LLMs summarize books. Do you really think you can compress a 300-page book into 2 pages without losing a *bunch* of information?
There are people summarizing Dostoyevsky on Reddit, what's even the point 😭
