We are expecting our third child in less than a week so if cost I decided that today was a great day to order 4 yards of top soil to do a yard leveling project.
I'm not going to lie shit is bleak. The masked ICE agents downtown Chicago, the pending shutdown and promises of mass firing, the Sec Def/POTUS screen session this morning about fat generals and how the military should use cities as training grounds. I just can't. People voted for this. Why?
Adama tried to warm us.
Mushroom risotto with braised short ribs for tonight. Pretty good
Apple Cinnamon crepes with whipped cream for a good Saturday breakfast
Man so like, how are we making it through three more years of this?
It's more cringe than weird, I suppose
Someone better get sued for defamation after all this but they probably won't.
The amount of mud slinging, violent foaming at the mouth, and down right misinformation from the right over on the husk of what was Twitter is sickening. I'm legitimately worried about this country descending into violence because the right wants blood
These Scarlett runner beans are just beautiful
This is a challenge, which I took personally
I have a friend who made a poured epoxy table with a bunch of collectible beer bottle caps. Turned out really great, no bubbles. Love my friend, but frankly if he could figure it out I think it's probably manageable
I haven't tried poured epoxy yet but it's a tiny I've been interested in. It makes me nervous trying to get the bubbles out
I did red mahogany stain with a satin poly. It's a bit more glossy than I expected and I might sand it a bit to even it out. It looks like a bar top though, which is awesome
Made NY strip with peppercorn sauce, a baked potato, and kale and onions. A nice tray of honey wheat rolls to go with it
Got the side wall built and finished the butcher block top. Need to hang another sheet of drywall and trim the front then paint. Coming together..
I was looking for plans for an old woodworking project I did on an external hard drive backup of an old computer and instead found a draft of a children's book I wrote like from the NICU the day after my oldest was born IN BEAMER that I have basically no recollection of writing
Never mind the mess behind it that we still haven't unpacked, lol
This bookshelf pony wall is coming together nicely! Still need to paint and add the side wall and the butcher block top
Good thing I smoked reds in Afghanistan I guess...
Got the three shelves assembled. I need to grab some brad nails to build the base and the butcher block will arrive Thursday. I'll need to paint off course but once the cuts and pocket holes were done it was just like putting together IKEA. It'll be three next to each other, I just stacked for space
Christ like this is just blatant fascist support
Stephen Miller is completely full of shit, and he knows it. He's selling hatred of cities to people who do not live in cities and are scared of them.
A fun evening project. Building a pony wall with built in bookshelves for the basement
I'm interested... Lol
Steak enchiladas with rice and beans and a corn Lima bean salad. The beans were all from the garden and I was trying to use them. The brand in sauce are orca beans and the lima grand and corn are both garden fresh
