He asked for nae suggestions to which i shouted out CUTHBERT! the story then became about how Cuthbert overcame a beast who lived in his dreams. Our Andrea got up and did a few, a regular at OurSpace gardening sessions, she also plays with the Mossley Ukulele Orchestra.

I made this piece with a gold frame given to me by a dear (departed) friend who loved disco lights and fireworks. I filled it with programmable LEDs that could be controlled over wifi and made it free standing to use at events. This was my first maker project using rasberry-pi, and is currently in storage, awaiting a bluetooth upgrade so it can be controlled from mobile….

With its glossy, golden-orange caps, the velvet shank is quite commonly seen growing in clusters on stumps of decaying hard wood. It is also known as the 'Winter Mushroom' as it is one of the few mushrooms that can be seen throughout the winter months, right into early spring. Hanging up bird feeders on our plum tree Jayne our session lead and Thea our Wassail Queen bless the tree with apple juice. The queen/king is chosen using a bean placed randomly in a slice of fruit cake that was shared. dancing around the tree whilst singing the Wassail song, yours truly on lead kazzoo! that is one blessed plum tree! the bitds will be pleased x Over the next few weeks we shall be preparing the rest of the garden for spring.
