Digging in the archives, I had a Mk1 MR2 once. It had been off the road for a bit and had old repairs but ran perfectly.
First thing i did was take it on a track day, then start investigating the rust. The drivers side had been T Boned and made of filler, and then rotted away..lucky we didnt crash!

Throwback to-I think-2004, we got a free rental upgrade to a Mustang, but parked under the trees when we stayed on the Queen Mary
Yes, it was baked harder than granite by the time I found it, and it stayed like that all the way to Bakersfield & back, & up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco..

My Alfa, a 33 Cloverleaf S2-I loved it but it did everything the reputation promises-wouldnt restart when hot, the back lights worked occasionally, the boot would pop open randomly and the drivers window, and replacements, kept falling into the door!
But the 1.7 boxer sung like Pavarotti

No? This and may other fascinating facts and fun are in the video (link below) and big thanks to Suzuki for dusting off their heritage fleet example!

Spotted out and about the other day, a very down at heel W114 Mercedes 280 coupe, tempting to save it but one for another day perhaps!

Everyone remember the original Suzuki Vitara, it was an early '90s icon, but the follow up improved on every aspect of the original, there was even a V6!

There are lots of new EVs appearing on the market fro brands we'd not heard of until recently, but are they any good or just a low price to lure buyers in.
I drove the new Geely EX5 for a week and it has many good points, but theres a problem..

Is there anything more endearing than an R3 Rover 200 out in the wild? And in BRG too, looks like its still on daily duties at the supermarket (hint of Rover 75 behind the trolley thing)

Its good to see cars previously featured are still going strong, so it was lovely to hear from Gordon who bought the Mk1 Renault Laguna from Stone Cold Classics after I reviewed it, and took to France, where its just got its 30 yr old classic plates

Facebook just reminded me of a busy few weeks of car swapping 3 years ago.
I swapped the Mouldeo for Beryl the Beetle, and it wasnt long before the VW was exchanged for the Fiat Idea (I never did name that), which went to the Resto Show, cunningly positioned next to the Punto I later bought...phew

Today was a huge success - I found my favourite lime scale remover cleaner, and concentrated to mix 10-1!
This makes me unduly happy as Ive not been able to get it since Homebase shut, and with our hard water the bathroom hasn't looked the same since

This week Ive been learning how hard it is to weld wafer thin steel - and how much harder it is to weld rusty wafer thin steel.
I never thought Id be fondly reminiscing about doing the boiler plate sills of the Crown Vic
