The Scrapers are very active today. Would be cool if so many people would read my posts, but I can clearly see that some/body/thing scrapes my reading list, especially the author listing - for hours now.

I just wanted to quickly migrate Umami v2 to v3 … well I should have known better… Some hours later I got it up running again.

I just released a new #komments release, which tries to reduce comment spam by LLMs (and others) using verification. If you like, you can now enable this feature. Users then have to verify their comments by email. Unverified will eventually be marked as spam or be deleted after 48h. After

Since tonight there is a massive increase of visitors on my site, Umami says. Everyone with MacOS on a Laptop, no special referrer, and no single entry point. For me, this looks like somebody scraping content. When an increase like this happened in the past, there was a single entry point

During the last few weeks and months, it basically became impossible to filter comment spam. The percentage of detected spam decreases, and when I sharpen the filters even more, I get false positives. One cause is, I guess, LLMs and all those easy-to-build AI automations. So, now what?

I had massive problems on my website, several plugins weren't working after I did some updates. I rolled back everything and installed them step by step, still no luck. This night my website has also moved to a new server, maybe that? And then I realized I had a typo in the kirby
