All claiming to be the same, all claiming to be one, all connected to the “funny abyss.” Was is that a CHARACTER was so powerfully influential that it became so many people? We’ve seen scenarios like that in the past, but the width of this situation – the jester’s cities, their vast population – is an outlier indescribable. A subculture, or at this point more aptly culture, of being the very same person, over & over, whose origin was not extant in fiction nor reality. While harmless, one has to ponder if something more large scale could occur. Something that took over a larger chunk of the near-infinite population: 10%, 30%, 60%, 90%, 99%. It feels as though it is something that would have caused a sort of panic in my day. That sensation that I am looking at something wrong still pervades me, as does other researchers, but we admit this & allow others less touched to examine what is going on in Funny Funny Field. In a banal sense, it feels like this could just be a recreational pursuit, or one of self-expression. People find whimsy appealing, & what could be more whimsical than carrying out an elaborate joke of as many people being the same person? While that could be a reason, the idea of it being a social phenomena, & more related to self-expression is also intriguing. Could it be, with the vastness of people & the growing feeling of aimlessness for so many, that this shell & persona represents mockery of it? A toying with the feeling of loneliness while surrounded by an unfathomable sea of people? Or perhaps a more radical re-unification with others, by being the same? What could cure-cause a disconnect than to be as close to absolute connection as you can get? In any sense, I feel like I empathize with them. In the same way that wilds-goers feel like a total rejection of the social cybernet in lieu of a natural one, & in the same way that those of Funeropolis reject it in lieu of the pursuit of none, this feels like a pursuit & rejection of something. A caricature, exoticism, or imaginative play of how we live. It’s difficult to tell if this is real, or is merely my own perception. Furthermore, it’s difficult to tell, if it is real, if it is intended. Any & all texts surrounding the jesters are difficult to parse.
