So I'm digging deeper into Descent in terms of writing and I have a few things folks might find interesting as I plot out scene-by-scene and discover reoccurring themes that are popping up as I go and...

"Cannibalism" (or "Hunger") and "Queerness" have naturally floated to the surface. Oh boy.

I’m still workshopping it, but the idea that Viktor and Jayce are eventually found by Rakkor is certainly on the brain. I’m unsure if they’d find themselves with the Solari or Lunari, or something in between, but their dislike for the Solari would be a guarantee that’s for certain

Jayce in early descent gets flare ups with his leg, it’s getting irritated, isn’t getting better but he doesn’t know how to tell Viktor. He CAN’T tell Viktor, everything is already so bad, so challenging, he can’t fathom becoming another ‘problem’ on the heap.

Exactly! Something as parasitic as the Hexcore doesn’t die easily. Or at all.

I've defined Viktor absolutely glows upon contact and that his connection to the Arcane is the source, but how he presents visually is something I never actually explored or set in stone! So I'm dabbling with some concepts... Excuses to draw them getting cozy together so I can figure it out 😎

The kissing was purely indulgent (and non-canon to Descent thus far; I MUST stay focused as much as I want them to smooch), but I'm trying to figure out how Viktor "glows" when he touches or is touched. hell yeah my favorite glow bug

I feel it’s reminiscent! Because he kind of “took” ascension (homeboy decided to be a God through sheer will and a cocoon), I wanted to twist it a bit & lean into his whole thing of evolution. Like a messed up joke from the Arcane to have him keep his greatest mistake. It’s like a living thing

Amen! That’s beautifully put. Viktor finally having to put in the repetitions towards (not self destructive) change. That man destroyed himself the entire two seasons of Arcane, he gets to learn to love himself a bit here… which is synonymous with letting Jayce love him. I’m going to eat them
