Adding a necessary scene early in a story and it's taking a lot of discipline to keep from making a change that'll cascade 90% through the main plot.

Gotta save that crap for the developmental edit, this is still the first draft.

That reminds me of a book a got from the alcoholic lady that used to babysit me. I don't remember much about the story other than it being about killer crabs. Also, she put salt in her beer, but that's not important right now.
I should probably look it up one of these days.
