This new Perturbator album Age of Aquarious is fucking awesome. Wall to wall bangergeddon
…it’s very funny apart from the chapter on Pluto Nash which is to comedy what a black hole is to everything
Currently reading Tim Robey’s extremely entertaining book on flop movies Box Office Poison…
Tron Arse is not be the worst film of the year (bottom 25% tho), but it may have the worst script of the year. There’s an especially bad bit where Leto’s bland AI hero goes on about his love of Depeche Mode. Hipster Alan Partridge is probably not what they were going for. But it’s what they got.

This is Eeyore. He led a sheriff's deputy to his grandma after she fell during their walk. We are awarding him the incredibly rare 15/10 (FB: OkaloosaSheriff)
Oh man, Dragula Titans kicked off with one of the best episode 1s ever. Already soooo 🌶️ #drag #filth #horror #glamour #dragula
Weird speech by Jenrick at the Tory conference “Now I'm falling asleep, and she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke, and she's taking a drag”
Interesting left field example: Wolfen. Flips things and looks at how an ancient civilisation displaced by colonialisation inhabits the new urban landscape created by that colonising force. Further complicated by there being a First Nations aspect to the plot with is sort of a red herring.
Yay, Bristol really needs a quality screen for those prestige flicks again. Cinema coverage in the centre and south of the city is dreadful (obviously not counting the Watershed in that but it’s an art cinema). Just hope they don’t opt to make it insanely expensive
Just out of Self Esteem’s show in Bristol. Objectively the best gig I’ve been to this year. Amazing mix of pop excellence, inventive staging, and party #popsky
The Beta Band were brilliant in Bristol tonight. Obviously a mass singalong when they played Dry The Rain. But more importantly I’m now thinking a flight suit is a strong look #livemusicsky
Was just such a tone deaf decision to take something known as the pinnacle of restraint and do it with every single dial in the red for the whole thing.
I remember getting as far as the ‘no one will hear, in the night, in the dark’ speech and I just couldn’t take anymore.
Although to be fair the original Robert Wise masterpiece isn’t just my favorite horror movie, it’s my favorite movie full stop.
That Anaconda trailer looks less like an real movie, more like a fake one from an episode of The Studio #moviesky
That film is amazing, despite sharing a premise it’s very different from Wages of Fear
Did not expect to The Long Walk to feel so much like a companion piece to Stand By Me, but beyond the bleak premise it’s also really about male friendship in equally profound and sad ways. #thelongwalk #stephenking #moviesky
Yeah things are shit right now. But then you discover Jacob Alon’s album In Limerence and they aren’t for a wee bit
Favourite new game, Slayer lyric or quote from US Secretary of Defence (soz WHOAR): “Going to go on offense / not just on defense / Maximum lethality / not tepid legality / Violent effect / not politically correct"
Really think this little guy is just misunderstood
It was great, now need to catch up on Adrian Chills columns ;)
This is great, a creepy urban horror story presented in a really unique way. If you like prime Ramsey Campbell, you will get a kick out of it #horrorsky
Yorkshire is great for that
