I've been feeling crappy about having frizzy hair but I realized yesterday that in the last year I've had nearly 40 electrodes glued to my hair and ripped off. So now I feel less bad but I'm also embracing the need for a haircut.

It's so less exciting than that. They hook you up to a bunch of cords but those are all just monitoring you, they can't impact you. Then they either tell you to sleep or stay awake depending on what they're testing. It's actually pretty dull.

Just wrapped up my second sleep test, this time it was overnight plus all morning and most of the afternoon. I got 100% on my nap test, which is a bad thing but I have to wait for an official review before I know why I'm such a sleepyhead. #brokenbrainclub

The page from Pockets Full of Leaves that inspired the title of the book. All about my adventures with plants. Coming this fall, of course.
Four panel comic of a brown haired woman. In the first three panels you see her picking colorful fall leaves. In the last panel you see her jacket pockets full of leaves and it says in cursive script “pockets full of leaves”

Painting of a woman in a pink skirt suit with a very unbothered expression as the bowl of alphabet soup she's holding spills down the front of her. The letters in the soup spell out "FUCK THE SYSTEM"

Tasked with making a cute print for a 2 year old, I was inspired by every toddler's favorite word. From screen printing class at @pushpullseattle.bsky.social
Magenta print on sage green fabric of a cute little bird with a speech bubble that reads 'No'

I made a postcard for @pushpullseattle.bsky.social inspired by what I wake up to on my pillow every morning.
Risograph print of a pink and green tabby cat hissing because I won't get out of bed or maybe I used too much of the pillow or maybe the most awful sin of trying to cuddle.

I painted this pigeon months ago but it literally melted everything when I tried a new varnish. I listened to Seth today and stayed home to paint and here's where the second version is now.

I put rotting potatoes in the ground and I got edible potatoes in 2 months. Magic is real.

I am too exhausted for social media or news or *gestures at everything* but I painted this beach yesterday at @pushpullseattle.bsky.social for the Acrylic Landscape Class so that's a thing. 🤷‍♀️🏖

Bernie says it's time for a general strike so we can get back to worrying about important things, like if he's getting enough cuddles

Things are ROUGH. Here's some irises you can see and draw with me at Botanical Sketching with @pushpullseattle.bsky.social on Friday because it's the best way I know to escape the mess.
Photo of irises in a garden. They have white and purple petals.

Is it the mental illness or is it the medication you just upped for it? Yay! Please allow me to just cry on the couch all night while I figure it out.
Bi Polar #1 means it's the best one... right... right?

To the forgotten:

Your name is something that won't roll off my tongue
It gets stuck in my brain
A memory
That won't recollect
Barriers put up
Neurons refusing to connect
Your name is a thing
I could only forget

Repeat as needed about whoever doesn't deserve your memory
