The attendees came from all walks of life, but we all have at least one thing in common: we are DONE with corruption. Our House, Senate, and Governor’s office need a healthy dose of accountability, integrity, and vision. I think we’ll make a good team.
And my favorite thing he said: we must make Medicaid public again. It should never have been privatized in the first place. People need their life-saving medicine, regardless of their income level.
He said, in short, no. He would use the veto to stop bills that harm people. He would not favor corporations.

He is also ready to end the school voucher program so that tax dollars do not go unregulated.
It was great to connect with Rob Sand and Jim Vowels here in Floyd county.

I asked about his plans to use the governor’s veto power. If we have the opportunity to work together, and we pass legislation AGAIN to protect landowners from eminent domain abuse, would he veto it like Kim Reynolds did?

We love our mondo big big protests and our little rural rallies. Keep up the good work, friends.
This is what solidarity looks like. Together, we will win.
I love a good potluck! But I don’t love a crunchy cookie. 🍪 Regional Hall of Fame award event at West Union Public Library, 2-4 PM today!
Happy No Kings Day to all who celebrate 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Speech therapist, volunteer firefighter-EMT, college instructor, and medical examiner investigator. Your choice for Iowa House District 7 - Special Election December 9th.
WWJD? Probably make a whip and throw a fit. The Bible is not a tool to control others, friend. Are you a Christian against christofascism too? #freedomofreligion #magaisacult
Clean water is a right, but too many rural Iowans are drinking from contaminated wells. We will fight to fund free well testing and filtration systems to ensure every family has safe water coming out of the tap.
Our prime farmland is not for sale to the highest corporate bidder. I will stand with Iowa landowners to fight eminent domain abuse and stop CO₂ pipelines that threaten our land and safety.
Our classrooms should be for critical thinking, not political agendas. I will always stand with Iowa’s students, teachers, and librarians against the extremist war on education, and fight tooth and nail for freedom of expression in the classroom.
The reality is Republican leaders could use their power to speak out against this and hold the president accountable. But they won't. Because they care more about retaining power than doing the right thing. Our only option is to vote these people out in November.
For decades until recently, Iowa’s public schools were the envy of the nation. We had the highest literacy rates, top ACT scores, and one of the best teacher preparation systems in the country. We need change NOW. It's time to once again invest in education.
Students, Teachers, and Librarians Need Iowa’s Support! | May for Iowa
Once a national model, Iowa’s public schools are now under political attack and resource starvation. As your representative, I will fight to fully fund our schools, protect students, support…

“No, Speaker Johnson — the No Kings rally on October 18 is not a hate America rally. In fact, it’s quite the contrary: It’s a love America rally.” #NoKings
The recent attacks on our AEAs have hurt students with disabilities and the schools that serve them. We will fight to reverse the cuts and restore our AEAs as a pillar of support for every school district in Iowa.
For too long, our rural and high-need schools have been an afterthought, struggling with fewer resources and staffing shortages. It’s time we targeted our support to the schools that need it most, ensuring a great education for every child, in every zip code.
A strong start is critical for every child's success. We will champion universal pre-K to ensure every family in Iowa has access to high-quality early childhood education, setting our kids up for a lifetime of learning.
