I'm proud to be doing things differently in our new chapter for the West.

It's fantastic that the Minister for Investment, Jason Stockwood, also sees the huge potential our region offers and shares our ambition to deliver growth and change that everyone can see and feel.

I've got one job: to make a difference for people in our region. Next week's budget is a big moment, and I'm confident that together we are finally making the case for what the West needs.

The West has had more job growth in clean energy than any other region over the last ten years.

It was great to show Great British Energy how green investment is key for our future, delivering the infrastructure to lower people's bills and create new jobs.

It was great to welcome Homes England to the West yesterday, including to Bristol Temple Quarter, which is set to create 10,000 new homes and 22,000 new jobs for our region. 🏠 🏢

We are working closely with Homes England to tackle the housing crisis in our part of the world.

It was incredible to visit Fashion Museum Bath in its temporary home in Warminster.

The impressive collection of over 100,000 pieces spans from 1600 to the present day and is a huge asset to the West, with plans for a brand-new museum to open in 2030.

Children across the West enjoyed over 900,000 free bus journeys during the summer, saving families almost £1 million and encouraging greener travel 🚌

A pleasure to catch up with Damien Egan MP and to meet the Fishponds Community Planning Group.

Talking to local people underlines how important things like bus infrastructure and community space are - real priorities in this new chapter for the West!

Today, on Armistice Day, across the West we stop to reflect on the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of our armed forces.

It was an honour to lay a wreath on Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph in Bristol.

I was proud to speak at this year's West of England Nature Partnership conference in Bath on Monday.

🌲 Our connection to nature is in our DNA, and part of the reason why we love to live here. That's why nature recovery and climate resilience are woven through our Growth Strategy.

Carving '72,000 new jobs' into a pumpkin is harder than it looks. Luckily, our Growth Strategy sets out exactly how we'll create new jobs - from the everyday economy to clean energy, the West is the place to invest.
