President Trump told the American people that he wanted to be a dictator on day one. Now in office, he and his administration are making good on that promise with illegal and unconstitutional actions that directly threaten Americans’ economic, personal, and national security.
Donald Trump attempted an insurrection by sending his supporters to violently attack the U.S. Capitol five years ago today. 140 police officers were seriously injured, and several lost their lives. We will never forget.

Since our time serving together in Congress, @governorwalz.mn.gov has been a dear friend and trusted colleague. As governor, he's made Minnesota the best state in the nation to have a family and raise kids. I thank Governor Walz for his outstanding public service. #OneMinnesota

I spoke with Governor Walz earlier today and thanked him for his two decades of exemplary public service. I'm wishing him, Gwen, Hope, and Gus the very best in the next chapter of their lives.

Trump is degrading the Office of the President by engaging in an outrageous lie. He is once again attacking Governor Walz and the State of Minnesota for his own benefit. Minnesotans will not be divided by Trump’s twisted attacks on our Governor and our State.
Donald Trump is now reposting videos on Truth Social suggesting that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had Melissa Hortman assassinated.

This is objectively evil, and calling it out should not be political.

President Trump must cease U.S. military strikes on Venezuela immediately. The actions taken today by the Trump administration are blatantly illegal. Venezuela poses no imminent national security threat to the United States and Congress has not voted to authorize any use of force in the region.

It was a privilege to witness history today with the inauguration of Mayor Kaohly Her — the first woman and Hmong American to serve as mayor of Minnesota’s Capital City. I’m looking forward to continuing our work together to serve all Saint Paul residents and businesses.

This week, our nation lost a remarkable trailblazer in Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell — a Tribal leader, veteran, Congressman, U.S. Senator from Colorado, Olympian, and champion for Native American rights. I'm inspired by his enduring legacy of leadership, independence, and political courage.

As Kwanzaa comes to a close today, I'm wishing a warm, joyful, and meaningful end to the holiday for all Minnesotans who celebrate. May the Kwanzaa principle of unity guide all of us as we enter the new year together.

Happy New Year! May you, your family, and our entire community enjoy health and prosperity in 2026.

It’s unacceptable that 1 in 4 middle class families in the Twin Cities can’t afford housing, food, transportation, child care, and health care – basic necessities. Minnesotans are facing a cost-of-living crisis fueled by Republicans' health care cuts and Trump's tariffs.

On his final day in office, I want to thank Mayor Melvin Carter for his dedicated public service on behalf of Saint Paul residents. It's been a pleasure to work together, and I wish Mayor Carter, his wife Sakeena, and their children all the best as they enter this next chapter.

Congratulations to Saint Paul Fire Chief Butch Inks, who retires today following 40 years of service. As Chief, he’s led modernization efforts, boosted staffing, expanded EMS service, and strengthened firefighter health protections. It has been a privilege to work together!

Today we hope you will join us in remembering former Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic, who we lost one year ago today. She was known for her tireless work ethic, quick wit, and unyielding kindness. She was driven by service, not the spotlight.

Timothy Bertz dedicated his life to public service — first as a Navy firefighter, then as a Navy Seal, and later as an on-call firefighter. I join his family and all Minnesotans in honoring his legacy of selfless service to others.

Happy Kwanzaa to Minnesotans who are beginning celebrations today! The Kwanzaa principle of Umoja (Unity) is especially fitting as we reflect upon the past year and look toward the future.
