The Sophia stuff could maybe work a little if, acting aside, they did more character work about how Sophia’s insanely strict & controlled upbringing led to this out of control behavior. But Days isn’t like that, so we just get the plotty nonsense, and she just seems like a teenage jerk.

Over the summer I was giving them real props for showing Sophia's fear and heartbreak over giving birth alone, giving the baby up, etc. Now she is a one note villain whose only purpose is to disrupt Tolly and Janel. I am not happy with the shift.

I definitely feel like they changed the paternity when they decided to go full villain with Sophia. I wouldn't have minded the baby stay Tate's since he would be a Black and a great grandchild of John.
