I wasn’t disagreeing with your point that individual clubs and the NHL on the whole have profited off CTE (not to mention drug/alcohol addiction, sexual abuse). Just saw this bout differently. But I appreciate your intelligent discourse…

So Olivier was able to land a blow to Reaves’ temple and drop him. He didn’t throw another punch after that shot landed.

Reaves stopped punching because he lost his grip on Olivier’s sweater and had no leverage to throw, not because he was “obviously concussed”. Losing your grip also means you’ve lost protection to that side of your head because your gripping arm shields your head.
