Took 6 years of watching and bidding in online letterpress auctions to finally acquire a proper reglet cabinet. This one manufactured by Geo. Damon & Sons (NYC). Really hoping this summer is the summer we get the garage studio organized and back in working order.

Adding this to my very short list of things I’m most proud of during my graduate career. It was exactly what I needed during these difficult times and I could tell it was what they all needed too!

We’ve partnered with @skeuomorphpress.org and some local queer organizers to do a little ink slinging with trans youth this evening for Trans Day of Visibility. Can’t wait to see how they fill in the blank (inspired by @jsench.bsky.social’s “[blank] is a printer” demos with young folks) Stay Tuned!

We need to wrap up a few projects and then we’ll be printing new editions of these two prints. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile...Letterpress was launched with the first "I You We Exist" print in 2018 when Trump tried to narrowly define sex/gender. I made a new print last year for a special exhibition of art work by queer youth responding to anti-LGBT legislation. I guess it's time to reprint both.
