Trader Joe's has a bunch of French onion flavored stuff, and I think it's a recession indicator because onions are cheap as hell peasant food but calling it FRENCH makes it sound ~fancy~.

(I'm typing this out while wearing a festive shirt and drinking from a festive mug and looking at my festive tree and my festive presents for my family, of course)

Thinking about how the modern celebration of Christmas was born from a capitalist agenda to buy kids presents instead of helping the poor, and its evolution into a hyper-consumerist free-for-all of disposable crap, has helped justify my humbuggery and grinchitude for years.

Also, I don't know why I know so many people in that line of work. I'm a too snuggly a dude to know as many people into things requiring safe words as I do.

The problem with me being friendly, vanilla, and kinda stupid, but also knowing a lot of doms, is that, yes, I'd give you gifts and clean your house or whatever, but only because you asked and it'd be nice to do, and not at all for kinky reasons.

We can't lose hope, but we can't forgive injustice.

It's like a kid apologizing after being told not to hit his little brother before smacking him again. It's why it's vital to look out for each other and support our communities where we can; life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness won't come from going it alone, or asking for change from up top.

It doesn't give back the weeks that guy spent in jail, or the jobs back to people who got fired over shitposts. It doesn't bring dead unvaccinated kids back to life. It doesn't stop the administration from sicking troops on its own citizens or sending people to camps.

Thinking about when that guy was released after a month in jail for posting shit online, or when the secretary of health rescinded opinions on vaccines or acetaminophen, or when things are ruled unconstitutional, it's considered a victory for justice. But the damage is done. The example's been made.

I got a promotion at work, PR'd my half marathon time, was one of the first finishers in a recent cycling race, and was told by multiple women that I'm attractive, but the thing I'm most stoked about is accidentally getting a $100 pair of sunglasses for free in my $9 order of replacement nose pieces

I had something in my eye when ordering lunch today and accidentally winked at our waitress, so now I can never go back to that restaurant because I either came off as a creep or she's now in love with me and I can't handle either.

If the woke mind virus is real, then one would want to be vaccinated for it, right? But if vaccines don't work and the body's immune system can fight off anything, then the woke mind virus isn't something to worry about, right?

Picked up a cycling bib this weekend because I found one for cheap and they’re essentially just skin tight shorteralls with a padded gooch, which is funny as fuck to me.

There’s live music at the trendy hotel I’m staying at, so I’m like, “Cool, I’m gonna drink a beer and take this edible and just vibe out on the grass,” but half the songs are religious and I’m here like, “Aww gee whiz this is a real dill of a pickle.”

If I were to tell someone 10 years ago that mullets and mustaches would be in style in 2025 I'd be called an idiot, but here we are; mullets and mustaches are in style and I'm still an idiot.

One bright side of working for a call center is spending part of my Saturday shooting the shit with a 91 year old woman checking her account balances. Like hell yeah dude, tell me about your dead husband, he sounds rad.

Baba Yaga and I are similar in that we both live in mobile homes

Whenever I’m riding my bike in cycling gear or out running in short shorts, and I start to feel self conscious, I remember that at least I’m not as embarrassing as someone who drives a Cybertruck

I’m nervous about my therapy appointment next week, which is on brand because I’m anxious basically constantly and anxiety and depression have been so bad that they’ve negatively affected my physical health, so I know I should go but still.

Feeling bad about calling out of work sick is almost as embarrassing as how I instead decided to do house chores while feeling nauseous.

While I’m a little disappointed in for dropping out of a 10k race down in LA today, I can at least enjoy the morning, my coffee, and the desert breeze from the comfort of my front porch, so it kinda balances out.

Waking up before my alarm, checking my email, going for a 5k run, and getting ready for work before the sun is even up makes it sound like I’m disciplined when I’m actually just extremely anxious and can’t enjoy a relaxing morning to save my life.
