It starts with a DM.
Then a promise.
Then a trap.

Not every “opportunity abroad” is real.
Verify. Question. Stay safe.

Trafficking and sexual exploitation are not rare events. They are systemic realities.

Public narratives often center on shock and powerful names. But for survivors, exploitation is a lived experience — complex, enduring, and shaped by inequality.

Support must last longer than the news cycle.

D – Dress for Dignity Day

What we wear can stand for something greater.

Trafficking doesn’t start with force.
It often starts with a DM.

Compliments. Money for travel.
A short illusion of safety — then control.

Some women end up exploited without consent, regretting the trust they placed in the wrong person.

Awareness saves lives.
Educational purpose only.

Most people begin with hope — a belief that life in the UK will be better.

Debt taken on early, dangerous journeys made quietly, and limited support on arrival can change everything. Some are left homeless. Others face exploitation simply to survive.

Educational purpose only.

Forced labour doesn’t begin with force.
It begins with belief.

False promises. Heavy debt.
Work without choice. Hours without complaint.

The real damage isn’t only physical—it’s psychological.
Stress. Isolation. The desire to go home and live freely again.
February 2, 2026 at 8:42 AM
