Woke up this morning and decided to give a new social media platform a try lol.
I'm a #CovidConcious #Queer with a long term hyper-fixation on #Comics and #GraphicNovels (check out my linktree for reviews)
I'm also a #Millennial thinking about how we can survive #ClimateChange together :)
Agreed. I have yet to find a search engine with no ai ☹️
how do other people deal with the feeling that the internet is closing down around us?
I'm also particularly stuck on this point because I am very grumpy about the implications of search engines going no click.
So I'm slowly trying to de-google - preferably using products outside of the usa etc. But I'm a bit disheartened that all the search engine alternatives I see recommended still are integrating ai. Any recs for ai free search?
Congratulations 🎉 looking forward to picking up Spent ❤️
I’ve read his first two volumes and now I’m waiting for war on Gaza to come in at the library.

Thanks for this - I wonder if you have ever seen The Anti Fascist Comic Book by Gord Hill. I would recommend checking it out for that potential follow up episode.
Content notes for torture, chains, nudity and suicide.

Keywords that came to mind include: quakers, disability, morality and prophetic.
#Nonfiction #2025Reading

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I picked this book up shortly after I started writing my review of Under the Banner of King Death Review both because I was pretty impressed with that book & because they are from the same creative team, plus the content for this volume sounded really intriguing.

As Canada’s Fentanyl Czar, I would create a massive safe supply program that would starve organized crime. Why score lethal street crap when the czar can hook you up with a script to the good pharma shit? Where do I apply? m.youtube.com/watch?v=CfBo...

Sex workers don’t want to be ‘saved,’ they want to be safe. There’s a difference.
Content Notes for mass casualties, using queer in a negative way, and cursive.

Keywords that came to mind: disaster, rescue, globe trotting, gender, and sailors.
I first read this volume 2 years ago & have been meaning to review it eversince. Well new year new me. This being my 2nd review of '25 to involve sailors, I'm left wondering what other nautical comics I can pick up to make it my theme of 2025!
The Lemmings stressed me out so much as a kid
Although I feel like I didn't really note what the book was actually supposed to be about, so I did still manage to go in largely ignorant. The second is because I've started tracking the original publication date of books I review and I wanted to fill out the 90s more.
The reason I initially picked this particular volume up was two fold. The first is because it's mentioned literally everywhere, so it's kind of hard to escape.
