The most brutal way of telling someone they’re a few sandwiches short of a picnic that I’ve heard in French is t’es pas la truite la plus oxygénée de la rivière. It means “you’re not the most oxygenated trout in the river.”

I figured it out. I wasn't fed up with the hype either, it's the lack of authenticity what rubs me the wrong way. A few months ago every post revolved around how good AI was, now the trend has shifted to posting about its flaws and why you shouldn't use it.

Yep, for the most part. I found copilot useful at the beginning. Maybe because of the novelty factor. But the code suggestions now annoy me, they clutter the screen and I can't concentrate on what I'm doing. I still use AI, just not integrated into the IDE.
